A Glimpse Inside a Managing Director's Office
The concept for our ‘Postmark Revival’ project is rooted in the site’s history. Merged with our client’s aspirations and company values, this scheme seeks to breathe new life into this former Royal Mail sorting office.
The raw steel and concrete present throughout the space lent itself perfectly to the client’s wants and needs; but amidst the industrial charm, modern elements seamlessly integrate. Sleek glass and metal fixtures juxtapose the rough textures of the building envelope, and remnants of the found condition of the building are celebrated in corten steel details, rustic layering of fabrics, and overhead suspended mesh planting. Glazed splices in the walls - highlighted with LEDs - form a contemporary contrast and surprising snapshots into this four-generation family business whose values are rooted in both its heritage and innovation.
Beyond aesthetics, sustainability lies at the heart of the design. Recycled and low carbon materials have been specified wherever possible, breathing new life into old elements while minimizing environmental impact. From reclaimed timber joinery to energy-efficient lighting, every detail is a testament to the company's dedication to responsible stewardship of resources.
